IJ Game Journal for Games Week!

Print this page and complete it as you participate in the Incredible Journey so that you have a record of your travels!

Your IJ Journal

If you can't print the journal, then just keep a list of all the places in the water cycle you visit in the order you visit them. Be sure to include if you stay in one location for more than one turn in a row.

Questions for after you've rolled the dice at least 16 times:

  • Did you make it back to where you began?
  • Did you take the same path as others who started where you did?
  • If you started in the same place again, would you visit all the same places in the same order?
  • If you were a real water molecule how would you have moved from place to place? What states (solid, liquid, gas) would you have been in?
  • What can this game tell you about how the real water cycle works?

Halloween Nametag Massacre Sentencing

KARUNA PLAZA, CALDERA:

The trial of Dr. Edwin Lazlo came to an end today. Last October, at least five newbies were reduced to corrupt doid numbers by Lazlo's cruel experiments. The goal of these experiments was to become immortal by stealing and drinking the life force out of the nametags of more than a dozen avatars.

Thanks to the work of several brave and curious questers, Lazlo Lazlo was arrested by Tyr Island Helpers after nearly succeeding in his evil plot. As he was carried off to Sirocco Prizon, Lazlo called out: "Run while you can pixel people! Lazlo shall return!" No one has ever escaped from Sirocco before, so Lazlo's last words apear an empty threat, one last cry for attention from the self centered megalomaniac.

Therians can afk at their ease with the author of the now infamous Halloween Nametag Massacre sentenced to life.

Pall Mall

Pall Mall or Palle-malle is an outdoor game played in the 16th and 17th Centuries.

The goal of Pall Mall is to use a stick/mallet to hit a wooden ball across the playing field and through a raised hoop quickest or in the fewest possible hits.

Today we shall use paint guns as our mallets and Avatars in Ball Suits as the ball. Two players will take the field at one time. Each will be assigned a different colored ball. The first player to send their ball through any hoop on the field will win.

The Rules:

  • Stand or take a seat under the tent or on the observation deck until your turn.
  • Do not take out a paintball gun until it is YOUR turn to play. Breaking this rule may get you expelled from the event.
  • When it is your turn to play, you will be assigned a ball. Your goal is to get your ball through one of the rings before your opponent.
  • Both players and both balls will begin the round on the "Starting Mound", players may take out their paint gun as soon as they are on the mound.
  • Wait for the referee to begin the round.
  • Balls will not move of their own accord (i.e. the ball isn't going to walk toward or away from the rings). There is one exception to this rule. A player may request that their ball teleport back to the Start Mound if they feel the ball is 'stuck' (under a ramp, in a tree, with the audience, etc). The ball will teleport, not walk back to the start mound.
  • Both players have the option to paintball both balls throughout the round!
  • The balls will announce (in the zone box) when they have gone through a hoop.
  • The first player to get their ball through any hoop on the playing field wins the round.
  • When your round ends put your paint gun away and move back to the tent or observation deck so another round can begin.

If there is time at the end of the event, we will allow the winners of each round to play against each other.
